Last night when I got home from work, I decided I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway, worrying about the computer virus, so I decided to try a few more things. I downloaded Malwarebytes (the free version), and scanned my computer. Sure enough, it found 2 viruses in Firefox. So I deleted them, and the to make sure it was all gone, I did a system restore back to two weeks ago. After restarting it a few more times, I finally decided the virus wasn't going to come back. It seems to be working fine today, so I think I'm all set!

I'm really lost when my computer's down. I do have a spare, but it's Windows 10, and when I start it up, it almost immediately drains all my internet data allowance with the stupid automatic updates. So I can't really use it on the internet at home.

I should keep it updated on my computer all the time, but I always forget about it until I have a problem.

@connierebel I would only bother to install it temporarily if required, although many people do use it constantly.

Such a great feeling when the computer starts working again. I have had to restore mine a couple of time after which it worked.

That System Restore is certainly a lifesaver!
