I was reading the newspaper today and a news item caught my attention. A 10 years old boy, who is suffering from Porogeria become the Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights for a day.
I term ‘Progeria’ is pretty news for me so I searched in google and gathered more information. It is a progressive genetic disorder which causes a child to age quickly.
This is a rare genetic disorder and the affected person may live a short life.
It is disheartening to see the image of the boy who was happy on getting a high position just for day.
Self thought of mine – Our knowledge is really limited.
Let the boy live happily as far as possible.

I nearly cry when I watched a documentary about this. It's really disheartening. We often complain about how hot the day is, not realizing how lucky we are.

It's a terrible disease that ages the bodies of children and they look about 90 at 17. They rarely live past that age.

@Sreekala I know. I feel you. If only human has power to take suffering off those who are already burdened, then there shouldn't be anyone in tears. However, it is only the Creator who can and has that power. Im sure he has reasons as to why this happens. Still, my heart goes to those to them always :(

Yes, sad to know so. Sometimes, life can be so harsh, especially when one hears it being so harsh on kids.
Is it the same disorder that was shown in AB and Vidya Balan starrer "Pa" (2010)?
