as @LoriAMoore said, a nasal saline rinse helps. I also took a lot of Mucinex twelve hour for quite a while to loosen things up. At one point my doctor gave me a steroid prescription, and it was good until I ran out then symptoms came right back. The final thing I did was to brew a strong tea out of thyme leaves. I then diluted it and sipped it all day. It worked really fast. It would be good with the ginger, honey and lemon as well. Feel better soon.

I've found that, for me, nose sprays made for sinus problems work best. I've talked with my pharmacist to find the best one for me and when things act up like that, it seems to work like a little miracle! I hope you feel much better soon!
