Family Court on Monday

Sadly we have another family crisis. History has a way of repeating itself and unfortunately it has again. I pray that this will turn out well.
The worst case scenario could have been planning a funeral. Fortunately this didn't happen. I hope that with rehab she will be able to find her way out of the darkness.
Now I worry about my granddaughter. She is now in State's custody. Hopefully they will allow here to come and live with my husband and I.
Prayers would be appreciated.

Hugs my friend. I did stop just now and say a prayer for the situation, as well as for all people who are providing care to children who are not their own. I know you will keep us posted.

Thank you Heather. I know that I am not the only one in this situation. Sadly it is something that happens so often in our little town. I will keep you posted as to the outcome. I pray we will be able to bring her home with us.

I am so sorry to hear this! My son has lost joint custody of my granddaughter because of his heroin habit and his girlfriend has lost her little son because she won't leave him. I know what you are going through and I spend a lot of nights crying for my son. My granddaughter is safe, though. Mine is 3, how old is yours? It's so hard on the children when they can't see a beloved parent because of such a complicated reason and you can't explain except to tell them mommy or daddy is sick.

@lovinangelsinstead21 when my granddaughter was an infant, she and my daughter lived with us along with my oldest daughter. The place was crowded, but we managed. When they moved out it was so quiet that even the cats jumped at the slightest sound. LOL.
Yes, it is a joy to have the little one around. I would prefer it to be under different circumstances though.

Is´nt it amazing my kids have come and gone in my life only now am I just getting used to having space for myself.
It must be something to get used to again but it will make you very happy as well.
