The Indiana Hoosiers basketball program will have a new coach to replace Tom Crean who was terminated on March 16 after the team failed to make it to the NCAA basketball tournament this year. Indiana Athletic Director Fred Glass wanted to hire Steve Alford who is the currently the basketball coach of the UCLA Bruins to succeed Crean, but Alford decided to stay with the Bruins basketball program. Miller who has been coaching the Dayton Flyers basketball program for the last six seasons will have his dream job of coaching one of the highest profile coaching jobs in college basketball, the Indiana Hoosiers basketball program. The last year the Hoosiers won the NCAA basketball program was in 1987 when Bobby Knight was their coach.

Alford only has one good UCLA season and as far as I'm concerned the 31 win season this year was a big disappointment with poor tournament play.

That is very true since he is under the shadow of the late John Wooden at UCLA while at Indiana he would under the shadow of Bobby Knight.
