Donating my eggs...

I have been thinking about this for months. I haven't done a ton of research for it because of other things going on but...I really am thinking about donating my eggs. I don't want children at all. It is just not for me. I know women personally who have fertility issues and cannot have babies of their own but want them desperately. It saddens me greatly to see a woman go through that. Since I have the ability to have children but do not want to I want to help other women and couples who can't.
Granted you get paid hefty for it but the more I have thought about it the more it's about helping other women for me.
Has anyone else donated their eggs before? If so some insight would be great. Or if you have thought about it, I would love to hear why you didn't or haven't yet.

Thanks. It kind of stopped being for the money for me really. I mean all of the places i looked at were going to be paying thousands for just one procedure and thats amazing for me.. but just knowing these two women who desperatly want children but cant have them biologicaly hurts my heart. It's more than just the money to me.

@TheAmazingSquid I can understand that. You have a good heart and I think it is great that you want to help other women to become mothers.

I've thought about doing this, too. It seems like a great way to help someone else out. :)

@TheAmazingSquid You're so young. Glad you're healthy as well. I do. It's a smart choice to make.

I am only 23 years old so I am no where near old enough not to do this. I am fairly healthy with I would say pretty okay genes. Nothing too funky or weird that runs in my family. I am glad you think it's smart.

I guess I don't see it as my child. It may be from my egg but not me. I wouldn't be raising them or having anything to do with the them. I guess I can disassociate myself from it since I don't want kids.
