Vince's photo will be exhibited in Paris

Vince has recently joined several photographic websites and has been enjoying putting his photos up against those of other photographers. One site, GuruShots, runs a number of competitions simultaneously. The first competition Vince entered was called 'Composing with Colors'. All members can vote and the admin have a say in the results too.
Vince ended up coming 4th overall meaning he obtained the 4th highest number of votes. It was quite exciting as at one stage he was second overall. There were 9,800 photographers in the contest with 38,000 photos. Each member can vote on multiple photos.
Anyway, his photo has now been chosen as one of 30 which will be printed and exhibited at an exhibition in Paris. Another 70 will be displayed digitally.
Unfortunately we won't be in Europe in time to attend the exhibition which seems to be being held in a fashion house. We're not too sure how big a deal this is – probably not a huge deal but it has provided an interest in our house for a while.
The photo is at the top and I've used it here before. It shows rowboats for hire on Lake Phewa, Pokhara, Nepal. The photo has been reduced for Facebook and the contest photo is of higher resolution with more contrast. Now Vince is a prize-winner, I might have to start being nicer to him!

Great colors for your husband Vince's photo you attached here, Ms.Judy. That's a very huge achievement indeed to be 4th overall among 9800 photographers and 38,000 photos. Congratulations to your Vince, Ms. Judy!

Thanks. He has others in other sections but this seemed to be a special competition with the exhibition at the end of it.

@JudyEv yet some are seeing it for the first time, so it's good. if they come across it elsewhere online, they'll recognize it. but my all-time favorite will always be the one with the boat in the middle of the lake and flowers/leaves on the forefront. so zen.

How awesome that Vince is "now a famous" photographer! That photo you posted certainly is beautiful with all the colors and I can see why it was chosen. Maybe you need to get Vince's autograph!!
