Self-Addressed Stamped Envelopes

I'm always on the lookout for free things that require SASE's, since I have a ton of unused stamps that I need to get cancelled for my stamp collection. Recently, our grocery store had a Bags 2 Riches contest, where you collect game tickets and try to fill in the booklet to win prizes. But reading the fine print, I discovered I could send them SASE's, one per day, for 12 free game tickets. I'm positive they know there are no winning tickets in the free pile, but that was fine with me, because I got a lot of cancelled stamps back! So far, only two were damaged by the post office (I'm still waiting for the last two envelopes to come back). I had so much fun with this, and the added bonus was that I got several instant winners for free items such as pasta, sauce, an orange, a bagel and more. Next I'll e on the lookout for Victoria's Secret to have their promotion where you can send away for one coupon per day. I never shop there, but I just want to send in SASE's, and get the stamps back!

I cannot understand why you require the stamps to be postmarked, but you simply mail envelopes to yourself.

I like used stamps that have actually been through the mail. I could just mail the envelopes to myself, but I feel like it's sort of "cheating."

I won a freebie from the Victoria Secret sending in envelopes. My husband laughed when he saw my coupon, as he thought all I would get are my stamps back.

That's good. I guess a freebie would be an added bonus for me, but what I really want is the stamps!
