Privelege Created Poverty

I personally think that watching people flaunt what they have when they have more than you is more harmful than poverty itself? When you look at older cultures of people, they never felt as though they were underprivileged in the lands that they occupied until foreign settlers came along and built new civilizations on their land, while flaunting it and making it hard for the original peoples of that land to bask in the same luxuries. That is how all of a sudden the indigenous way of living became a lifestyle of poverty.
