New country added to the list of counties I’ve shipped to YAY
Wow, it’s been a busy day so far with orders coming in from my Etsy store, which is always good. Easter is well and truly here with orders for Egg cozies.
With the orders, I’ve received today comes a new country I’ve never shipped to before. Finally, Canada joined the list of counties YAY, I’ve had many views and likes from Canada but until now, no orders.
Bust evening of knitting.

@kevin1877uk Maybe you could design some Cossack egg hats for export to Russia.

bust evening?
Congrats to shipping to Canada. Does it cost just as much as it does to ship to the US?

No, I don't think so, know more when I ship the items there tomorrow, just got the order from Canada, well maybe 2 minutes or so ago.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Just looked on the post office website and it's the same price :)
You mean VAT from Russia or Poland? With Etsy you shouldn't be paying VAT because you are in the USA, only countries which do have VAT like the UK and so on. VAT is included in the price if you were living in those countries that does.

@kevin1877uk I would think that the price would be nearly the same... Possibly more, possibly less, depending on how far in Canada you are shipping.
I see things I want to buy on etsy and then find out they are in countries like Russia or Poland... I don't want to risk not getting the item because it being stuck in customs... or having to pay more and not knowing how to do so.

That's great. Does the etsy people figure out the shipping and handling when the orders are made for you so you don't lose any money that way, Kevin?

Yes kind of for, the people living in the US, doesn't seem to work well here in the UK because it's based of USPS and not Royal Mail but you can manually set the shipping costs no matter where you are living in the world if you are selling on Etsy.

@DesirousDreamer Goos idea, the more you have in your store the better. I had the same kind of problem, I had around 20 items and no sales, I read in the teams and people were saying more items in your store. Once I started adding more orders started to come in. I now have over 150 items and I plan on more in the coming months.
