Do you consider flexible hours as important when choosing a job?

As you get older it's almost mandatory to have flexibility. I like the rhythm of writing. I can pace myself. However, I would like to earn more $$. This year I am doing more negotiating with clients on the sites and, finally, reaching out to potential clients.

That's wonderful. Writing more is what I would like to shoot for too. My problem is that with a full time job and having a family I get very tired by the end of the day and it is hard for me to be clear headed enough to write quality material. I also have difficulty think of good topics that will interest people and areas in which I have knowledge.

I would like to have a job with flexible hours. It helps when you have a family and issues come up. Also nice if you want to go out on a family outing. Since I work for an elementary school my hours are not very flexible, but I do get vacation time during the summer, winter and spring breaks.
