Marketing scam or good idea? Adult Colouring in trend? Miss your pencil crayons? Girls only ? Or are there some guys who like to colour in? Colouring in is the new Yoga ? Why is everyone coloring in?

Therapy? Or clever marketing?

I know it's a big trend but I'm curious ... It's become so popular? Do we all need therapy ? Modern world too stressful ? Or just successful marketing of a new hobby ? Do you colour in?

I can see how colouring in might be fun, but I can't really spare the time to try it. There are so many more important things I need to do, but I can't find the time for half of them.

@PopcornPop I procrastinate a lot so I've always got something to be anxious about, but spending time on colouring in would probably make that worse.

I found out that my partner's mum enjoys adult colouring books. When my kids were little, I'd colour half the pictures in their books! As I enjoy drawing, painting, and colouring anyway but I'm not so good at drawing, I thought I'd try my own colouring book. I'm only on the second picture but it is something else to do which is therapeutic and really feels like I'm doing something to relax instead of doing things because they need doing or projects that need finishing!

Hi P ! I've read that French women have been coloring for years, as a way to relax .... I have a friend who hides her coloring in stash from her kids !! Happy coloring !

I received 2 of them as Christmas Gifts and still haven't done them. I would rather read a good book or go out for a walk, so its not likely they will be done by me. Maybe one of my neighbors grandchildren will end up doing them while at my house.

I've never done this and never will. What has happened to creativity?

Interesting point ! Very good question ... what has happened ? Have we stopped thinking for ourselves ?

Does it come with a color guide? Or can I color it with any shades I like?

I enjoy the adult coloring books. My grandmother is also really into it. She even had someone buy one of the pictures she had colored before.
