New members often make mistakes, but this is ridiculous.

I was scrolling through the Recent Discussions list and noticed several discussions on similar themes from one member. For curiosity I clicked the link to visit his Profile page. This member has an Activity rating of 113 and has also submitted 113 discussions to date. This means that he has not interacted at any level whatsoever, with no comments on other members’ discussions and no replies to any comments on his own. It is not uncommon for new members to make similar mistakes, but clearly this member has no intention of even trying. It cannot be worth his while even being on Mylot since he will neither be having fun or earning.

Yesterday I commented on one of his/her posts.....then JJ commented on everyone's response. Soon after he wrote a post about it. You'd think he/she would at least try to give some feedback. I don't think he'll be getting too many responses from long time Mylotters.

I get the impression that this member is not reading discussions or even responses on his own, but so he is unlikely to ever learn.

@Asylum Well, he'll earn a few pennies here and there if some do respond to his discussions, but it won't be continual or long lasting. Is that the member jj wrote a post about recently too?

Being away and only on here spasmodically I'm burning with curiosity to learn who this is. I'll have to go searching.

I have noticed that too and one user finally replied to some comments after JJ wrote a discussion to point out this very annoying practice. I think that those members will get bored soon enough to quit and stop annoying us with dozens of discussions a day.

@sjvg1976 may be that person has lots of time, but little patience. In fact, I made a record of previous many many months, since I started two discussions today! I normally comment back. respond and comment back on comments!

I wish I knew if making silly discussions need to get hits to earn. We both know I can come up with some silly stuff sometimes ..... I'm stressing sometimes cuz we both know I'm usually so serious

There is nothing wrong with silly discussions, in fact I rather like them. Sadly the ones in question are just pointless two or three line humdrum references to basic items.

What a shame. I get more enjoyment reading and responding to what others have to say than what I write for my own discussions. What a missed opportunity to socialize with all kinds of people from all over the world. I hope this member realizes what is being missed and starts interacting with others more.

@Nawsheen Those repetitive titles are clearly a result of desperately struggling to make discussions from nothing. The majority are without any real substance and only a few lines long.

@Asylum Have you noticed the titles of his discussions. They most of the time starts with ''I love to ''. I think his new discussion must be '' I love to start discussions but have no interest on replying back to the comments''. Lol. Im just kidding

Your activity is the number displayed alongside your name, which in your case is currently 11464. Each time you post a discussion, respond or comment it will increase by one.

@else34 It is the total amount of activity that you have done so far. There is no good or bad, it all depends on how much time you spend here. We all start at zero, so mine was 11464 at one time as well.

You get paid for someone responding to something you wrote. He probably thinks he gets paid for posting. I bet he has never earned even a dollar on here. I don't like to follow people who don't comment much. I try to answer everybody. Sometimes I mess up but I really do try.

@Shwetasingh A vast amount of discussions will not keep the earnings low, but without interacting his discussions will not get many responses and therefore the earnings will be minimal. Members here get paid according to the amount of responses or replies they generate, which can be from their own discussions or from the responses they make on other discussions.
