Me and my sister go to a new place on vacation each year or try to. The past few years we have gone to resorts in locations such as Cancun, Riviera Maya, and most recently this year Jamaica. However we got to talking about our 2018 trip - yes I realize its a ways away - but we are toying with the idea of visiting Japan!
This has been a dream of mine. I started learning Japanese in 9th grade and studied it all throughout high school. What a cool culture. I would love to see the temples, cherry blossoms and experience the culture.
Have you ever been to Japan? If so, please dish! What was it like? What things would you suggest visiting abd which cities? Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated!
Or - what has been your most extnesive vacation yet or the furthest youve traveled? For me it was Sweden - and Japan is an additional 5 hours away!

I have but only Okinawa and was weird. I am not sure you saw my post where I talked about the Marine who raped a 13 year old. I am not sure but it was heinous either way. The old people hated us and the young people loved us as a little time passed. Before I got there Marines were telling me everyone was throwing things over the wall they were so mad. The island itself is pretty in my opinion. Small but lots to do, but more of a party thing. Cultural would be more mainland Japan.

I have been to Nagoya and Yokohama in Japan, it's a beautiful country, unfortunately I did not get time enjoy the beauty of this place due to work . Anyways it's great that you take out time to visit new places for vacation unlike me who likes to hibernate during vacations, cheers.

I have never been to Japan or Asia. The longest European vacation for me was a month spent in London.

I've never been to Japan, but it's a place I'd be interested in going to. The furthest I've ever traveled is to Kentucky, which isn't that far from Virginia.
