Fake food? Did you know real Wasabi is made from a special plant that is hard to grow ? A lot of wasabi in stores is dyed horse radish !!

You will never know what is fake or what is real with wasabi not unless you are Japanese, a wasabi connoisseur or probably personally involved in her production etc..( just my opinion)
So how do I know? Been consuming that stuff for a long time, so the ones on tubes made in Japan are fake? How bout the powdered ones that you add water and mix with chopsticks? Guess I would just have to be contented whatever it is so long as it tastes good on my sushi with Japanese Soy

@louievill hi hi yeah, apparently the authentic Japanese wasabi has complex flavour layers !! Not sure I'd be able to handle tasting it to find out !!! ????????

So many fake foods out there! We make our own food items as much as we can, but no wasabi. No clue what plant would even be used.

So many ingredients in foods these days !! I read labels these days and was recently shocked to see how much sugar was in low fat yoghurt ! Low fat but about 6 teaspoons in one small tub !!

@PopcornPop We read everything. Can't understand why fish is an ingredient in certain products that would otherwise be okay for us to eat. The HFCS is everywhere too, isn't it?

THe last time I ate wasabi, it came with a home delivery service. I was sure it was cornflour painted green
