Hello everyone I hope you are all having a good day. Today I just wanted to do a quick share. Many of you know that my wife likes to do a lot of diy projects. I have also mentioned my youngest who spends a lot of time with her mom watching. Well my wife and I were surprised our daughter asked if she could go into her mom's craft room and get some scraps to use to make something. Isabelle said sure just make sure you don't make a mess put everything back when you are done. She finished and came to show us what she had made all by herself. She said we had to share it. She made a organizing basket for us with dividers in it. She made it pink and blue obviously her color choices were gender specific to her. She said she learned how to do it watching a diy video on youtube. This made me think of how some things seem to be in the DNA. My wife's father was very artistically inclined he drew very well. My wife is very creative. Our son enjoys drawing and was pretty good at it and now our daughter is starting to show her creativity. The image is of the finished product which she wanted everyone to see. She covered her face because she knows it was going to be posted on social media and we have discussed it with her no face pictures unless its going on one of our facebook accounts. Really this was not bad at all for a first try all by herself considering she is only 4 years old.

Very crafty. She is learning a lot from watching and helping her mom.

She really is her mom is going to sew the cloth around the cushions and then glue it so it all stays in place.

@Happy2BeMe Our son has a card in his wallet the size of a credit card with all the info on it. He forgets things easily so it was a good way to help him remember.

Wow, impressive. I also have to commend you for teaching your kids to keep selfies off the web, very smart decision. Ok, maybe selfie is the wrong word but, like you, I never put pictures of family or myself online. After mom passed I did share her photo on my FB account but that's it.

Thanks yes I know what you mean she loves her selfies which we are okay with as long as they stay on the devices and are not shared unless its to our fb which has a small group of selected friends and family on it or we say its okay. They both know safety first.

I wish more parents would teach their kids the dangers of sharing their selfies even with friends @lokisdad

@rebelann We can't see not teaching them. True it kills their innocence but better they lose their innocence at an early age then they lose their lives because we didn't teach them the dangers of trusting every stranger they meet. She knows stranger danger, has hiding spots in case she needs it ever and she knows what do in a dangerous situation and all the important info like her full name address dob and emergency contact info. We try not to cover all of our bases.

I am sure her mom will fix it so it stays and modifies it so we can actually use it.

It's crazy but cool to see that kind of thing. It makes you think about how many generations back some of the traits we inherit go? How these traits may have benefited our lifestyles if at all in a certain time era or location, etc.

Thanks I will I was telling her how people thought what she made was cool and nice and stuff and she had a big smile she was very happy. I think because she has been doing puzzles for a long time on the ipad she figured how to use the scrap pieces of foam to fit the best she could.

That is amazing for a four year old!! I do believe that she has the creative gene for sure! DNA really fascinates me... I think that Dad passed down a lot more traits than I got from my mom! She's very musical and I'm not... even a little bit. I really should write down every trait that I can come up with for the pair of them and really take a good look!!
