I am making chili for tonight's dinner. I can't wait for the day to pass by so I can sit down to a big bowl of chili. I am making it with the fresh vegetables and spices and turkey ground meat. It will be both healthy and delicious. Today is going to be another busy day. My SIL will be getting out of the hospital and moving in with us for a while. There is not a whole lot she can do if she can't move the wrist. I want to get a little housework down before my husband gets here with her. One of the reasons I am making chili is because it's one of her favorite foods. What is happening in your world today?

We both like chili, made with beef, not turkey. I hope your Sister in Law will appreciate your efforts.

I like it made with beef better. It's not too bad with the turkey though.

Chili sounds soooo good. I really need to start looking for good recipes, then try my hand at making my own.

Good cooks always say that @HazySue trouble is I've never made it before so it won't be as easy for me. However, I will learn.

That's what I hear. If it proves to be true I might be open to add chili to most everything I cook. Well, maybe not most things, but some.

I never actually had a bowl of chili, we normally just put it on something else haha but that is cool. I am just working on scripts today, it is my favorite thing to do haha

I eat the chili in a bowl with raw white onions chopped on top and cheddar or 4 cheese Mexican blend grated on top. It is delicious.

Do you ever make double the amount and then freeze it?

Every time I make it I make enough so I can freeze some for another day.

I made some chili a couple months ago and used turkey for the first time since the hamburger was so expensive. I really couldn't tell much difference! I hope you SIL enjoys the chili. Today I went to get my taxes done and now I'm catching up on myLot trying to cash out this month. I'll play with my granddaughter, figure out something to make for dinner and lunch. We're eating up all the leftovers and stored food right now so it's kind of hard to figure out what to put together to make something good. It should not be like that and that tells me that I need to make some adjustments to the kinds of food I'm saving for emergencies.

Some of our leftover dinner delights can turn out to sound quite odd. We sometimes end up with a buffet of different leftover foods where everyone takes what they want.
