Who was Edgar Cayce?

I enjoy learning about psychics who have made predictions on what will happen in the future, and whether or not they are accurate on the events that have taken place. Many of the events certainly have taken place, but how close was Edgar Cayce at predetermining them in his books?

He cured his son.I saw it discussed on Unsolved mysteries.
