Why do we follow celebrities? Entertainment shows are very popular , reality shows are huge!

I could care less about following the stars. As a matter of fact, I'm proud of the fact that I don't know much about the stars. It's different if it's a story about a celebrity that's real serious, such as if a star passes away, for example. Otherwise, hearing about what's going on with famous actors and actresses doesn't interest me.
