What could be the cause of failure of Indian cricket team?

What has sparked the continous failure and downfall of Indian Cricket team recent days. On paper, it has so strong and world fame players but in fields what actually stops them to perform up to the mark? I think lack of self confidence is the single cause for all this. what you think about it?

I think other than Dravid and Sachin all are new to the soils of South africa.Further there is lot of media hype over the players.That makes them over confidence and finally treating the opponent as less.The selection of the team will also be the reason.if this continues then sure the World cup will be nightmare to Indians

This could be one factor, but being a new to that soil cannot be an excuse for complete failure of the team.

they do just play for record and not for nation so thats the main reason fo rthere failure, they always keep fighting within the team so wht the spirit in playing and serving the nation to win
