Oh! I've got a sudden disease now, a boil on my upper lip.
Wow! How painful
Me n my dad often get these boils on other parts of body..but on lips it's for the first time ever. I never even thought that it can occur here too.
It was itching n then suddenly it started paining to touch the area and overnight this boil popped out. It's a bad experience ever. You're not sick and it looks like a small problem but actually you're sick because it's painful, hurting n annoying. It also causes sickness, fever etc but thanks GOD i didn't get any of those.. Actually I got sick on Sunday but I'm too strong that I didn't care about the sickness n weakness I was feeling, now I realised that why it actually was.!
I always keep my face clean n infact I keep myself extra clean...Because I'm cleanliness freak :(
But this is bothering me now.
I'm using a Belladonna adhesive on it which helps me to keep it covered, heal it and if touched by chance then it won't hurt that much
(this pic is not original, I've taken it from Internet.. But my boil is ditto, exactly the same)

Ouch.....if it's a boil, you might want a Dr to look at it. He can lance it, getting rid of the toxins and relieving the pain.

@ShifaLk Lancing doesn't involve copious amounts of medication. Soaking it in Salt water is also good...but the lips are a bit tricky. If the boils gets too large it can leave an ugly scar. I have two. One on my shin and one on the back of my thigh.

Aloe vera gel should help. You need to keep your system cool.

Are you sure it's not a cold sore? Those happen on the lips all the time and that's more what it looks like to me.
Boils are usually in places where you sweat.

Yes but that's a boil because I always have them, though never on lips.
Actually, Cold sore is on lips or inside and this is little upper means just right on the upper lips skin and 2ndly, they say that cold sore is actually more than 1 boil (say a group of boils)

just apply turmeric and chandan .. you will get better relief .. It comes due to humidity or warmness .. make your body cool with some coolant .. turmeric and chandan are good coolant ...try and reply with photo ( after relief )

I understand how you feel, I also have recurrent boils, I suggest you do hot compress.. I makes the boil easy to pop out. Admit it it was really really PAINFUL. I don't know why but it really does. Always keep the area clean, cover it and don't prick it because it will only aggravate the wound.

The photo I know I have seen around the internet like you said but it does not look like a boil to me it looks like a pimple. Ones on the mouth can be very painful. If it has a white head of it like this you can pop it with a pin and squeeze the puss out.

maybe it is not a boil but a big pimple, am i right?yes, a tincture of Belladonna helps to ripen a furuncle. but why did it grow in your lip? does your husband have a beard or mustache?

@ShifaLk well, that is usually our question when newborn babies have rashes around their mouth. we ask the mothers if their husbands have beard or mustache that can cause reddish marks around their newborns' mouth.
but i wonder why that boil grew in your mouth?

I think it may be a cold sore since you were sick to previously getting it. They usually happen when your immune system is weak. It has to run its course but it should be healed in a 5-7 days.

You take antibiotic that will be eradicated in that location of your body. Sorry to hear about it disturbing you. I am so thankful never had I experienced it and my whole family. What is the cause of that? Is that contagions?

Oh yes but if i take medicine, it'll go away for sometime and then it will occur somewhere else on the body.
It actually often pops out on the private places, like underarms, groins, n sometimes on legs n arms too... Yes it's contagious and so I've covered it.
