Getting Back on Track

I once again fell off the fitness wagon. This time with much worse consequences because I got weighed while getting my depo shot and saw that I had reached 232 lbs. I can't believe I let myself get this bad. I am glad I found this out though because it really opened my eyes. I got weighed Tuesday and since then I have been eating smaller portions and watching my calorie intake and burned calories. I have been making sure I do something active for at least an hour but I prefer to be active for more than an hour. Monitoring everything that I have been eating and doing, I feel like I am definitely gonna make a change and see a difference in myself. I am determined to be better and do better. What is great is that my hubby is also trying to eat better with me and he is more willing to work out with me as well but usually walking is what we do. What do you do when you hit a bump in trying to achieve a goal?

Are you sure the weight gain isnt from the shot? Because i gained weight being on the depo. And most women do.. even the ones who eat healthy.

Good for you for trying to get back on track! Eat real foods and cut out the processed and take out crap. You will lose weight just from doing that.

It's easier to put on weight than to lose it, but reducing the portions and eating healthier food should help to keep back on track.

Good luck with your goals. Sometimes the pounds just pile on so quickly.

That's awesome that you're getting back into it. I am a personal trainer so if you have any questions feel free to ask. One thing to do when you hit a bump in the road is change the approach. Too often we are stuck in a cycle or repetition and habits. Change it up. If you're in the gym a lot, try going outside and walking instead, if you're walking alot, try swimming, or biking. One place you NEED to check out is Function Patterns, as they are literally the only training method that promotes longevity, proven with science.

Very nice about that. You are back again. It is really difficult to pick up the things left in the middle.
