Are We Headed for WW3?

I've been watching the news tonight about the US attack on the Syrian airfield where chemical weapons are stored and from which planes that dropped nerve gas on Syria's citizens took off. The commentators talked about how many groups and/or countries are currently engaged in fighting each other in Syria.
What is now Syria may be the scene of the final battle between good and evil according to some interpreters of the Bible. Most Bible scholars believe that final battle will be somewhere in the Middle East. I don't want to get into dogma and prophecy here except to mention that some believe this last battle will mark the beginning of the end of the world and that Christ will return and be involved. I have no expertise in prophecy, and I doubt if anyone knows for sure.
I just think it interesting that so many are currently involved in Syrian fighting. I'm concerned that we got involved, but I understand why we did. Do you think the USA should have bombed the airfield because of the chemical attack? Do you think the war will escalate on account of this? Where do you see this going? How do you feel about it?

During these times, I deliberately do not watch mass media, but seek reports from independent journalists on the ground. The fact is, the Syrian Government has never used a chemical weapons attack against its own people ever - not in 2013 & not now. The UN investigated the Chemical Attack in 2013 & proved Russia & Syria correct 100% & the lying, war mongering mass media wrong. The mass media of course never broadcasted this. U.S. military forces on the ground in Syria knew that the chemicals came from an Al-Qaeda base, as stated by Russia & Syria. President Trump was lied to by individuals in his national security/intelligence chain of command. He must find out who & sack them, then set up a UN investigation as this is a clear breach of international law, then sue the living daylights out of any of his security/intelligence advisors who had anything to do with this lie. Do you remember JFK's Bay of Pigs invasion moment? This is Mr Trump's JFK moment.
U.S. forces on the ground in Syria knew that this wasn't a Syrian government chemical attack. The Syrians hit an Al-Qaeda base which was storing chemical weapons used by the terrorists, even though Syrians thought it to be an ammo dump at first. U.S. forces on the ground did the right thing & reported that it was Not a Syrian chemical weapons attack up the chain of command. The United States had been notified of the Syrian mission before it took place and knew about the Syrian targeting. Someone either deliberately lied to the President about this information or kept it from him. Unfortunately there's no direct line between US ground forces & President Trump.
The lie about on the ground intelligence documenting a chemical weapons attack by the Syrian Air Force came from the White Helmets group, created by the British, financed by the British Defense Ministry & totally penetrated by & supporting ISIS & Al Nusra terrorists. The other cited “proof” comes from the Syrian Human Rights Observatory that consists of just one person, living in London, who is notorious for widely disseminating inaccurate information, as has happened many, many times in the recent past.
The world's elites want war at any price. This does not ever benefit We The People. You need to pick up the phone to your President & ask him to find, fire & prosecute the lying war-mongers & get his revenge JFK-style at the very least, but we all know Mr Trump will do it his own way!

@bagarad Do you recall what JFK did when he found out the CIA went behind his back in the Bay of Pigs invasion? In the meantime, at the April 12 UN Security Council Meeting, Russian Deputy envoy to the Security Council, Vladimir Safronkov, directly spoke to British Ambassador Matthew Rycroft, who had just denounced Russia for backing Bashar al Assad in Syria. Safronkov told Rycroft he was acting to thwart the peace efforts of U.N. Special Envoy for Syria, Steffan De Mistura, and sow confrontation in the Security Council, because, "you are afraid that we might work with the U.S. This is what you lose sleep over." Safronkov nailed the evil nature of the dying British Empire, which is intervening to play off East vs. West, and each against all, in attempt to stay on top of the heap, even to the point of nuclear war.
In Moscow, the very thing Britain fears so much, came about on the same day. U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, then with President Vladimir Putin. At the joint press conference afterward by Tillerson & Lavrov, it was announced that a "working group" would be established between the two nations, to be made up of envoys that Russia and the United States will designate!
At the same time, experts internationally are coming forward one by one to expose the British-orchestrated lies about the Syrian government gassing its people. This backs up the growing demand for a real investigation of the charges against Syria, on which pretext the April 4 U.S. bombing of the Shayrat airbase in Syria was done. Russia is filing for such an investigation with The Hague. The British have already responded to that, with Rycroft announcing they will "be at The Hague" opposing an investigation.
At the same time, a powerful study was issued, refuting the four-page White House document recently released, which falsely asserted that Syria is conclusively guilty of using chemical weapons on its people. Theodore Postol, a technology expert, Professor Emeritus of M.I.T., wrote a 14-page "A Quick Turnaround Assessment" of the four-page White House April 11 paper; Postol included satellite images and detailed analyses. He states that, "I believe it can be shown, without doubt, that the [White House] document does not provide any evidence whatsoever that the U.S. government has concrete knowledge that the government of Syria was the source of the chemical attack in Khan Shaykhun, Syria...on April 4, 2017." Postol's refutation is now getting international attention.
You will see, the truth of the matter will come out & the schemers & plotters will be exposed for what they really are & the essential prosecutions made & then we can get on with collective, collaborative infrastructure building. The current British-controlled education systems of both our countries will be scrapped & future generations will be taught the real history of our countries in context with world history so they will know how to recognize this sort of thing & where to look should it start again.

@veganbliss I guess I'll wait until I see the evidence you're talking about before I make up my mind.

I am worried about this new development. I have a son in the Army and I can see this leading to him being deployed to a war-torn country.

@bagarad I am afraid I get worried far too much on this subject. I do think that something needs to be done about Syria and their attacking their own people. NATO needs to step up.

US surely knows there will be retaliation and they have been asking for support from other countries which will divide the world into two factions resulting in another war.

@bagarad The division has started.
Russia and Iran condemned a U.S. strike on a Syrian airbase on Friday as Australia, Britain and Turkey gave their support, with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull calling it a “proportionate”

I hope it doesn't get that far, but is the rest of the world supposed to sit by while more countries develop and use weapons of mass destruction like nerve gas and other chemicals and rogue countries like North Korea develop nuclear weapons and missiles to deliver them to our countries? Do we just sit back and wait? Obama supposedly talked the Syrians into getting rid of all their chemical weapons and Russia said they would make sure it happened. Guess what. They just proved they still have and will use them.

We've all been watching this cauldron for years. This does sound like it could trigger the final war.

We are used to people and most nations acting with respect for the preservation of civilization. Armies of soldiers are happy to be martyred by dying in battle don't care about their lives or those of their civilians as long as their agenda goes forward. We also have some rogue nations that don't need a cause for provocation and just want to prove they can also be as powerful as larger nations like the US and China.

No one ever really wins a war. The people always lose during war time.

I think it might cause a war because they refuse to believe it's a chemical warfare that was used.

I certainly hope not. I've never put much stock in prognostication of any kind.
