When I was unemployed I usually say "I am preparing for the interviews or waiting for the call for" or sometimes I say like "I am taking rest and maintaining my body to be fit for the work" like that. Even sometimes I say "I am waiting for my dream job."

Yeah you're right bro! But sometimes when we say that we're jobless then some peoples try to embarrass.

@sunnysingh16388 You're absolutely right. Most of those who we meet everyday are too insensitive and of a sadistic nature.

I am employed but still don't always know what to tell people when they ask what I do! You see, I do different things and I end up spending ages explaining that, and telling people about what I actually do! When I've been unemployed, I have often volunteered so I would say that. And I'm a mum so I might have, occasionally, said that when asked what I do!
I know people think that, if you're unemployed (or even if you're self-employed or part-time employed) that you just sit around doing nothing all day but I know very few unemployed people who actually do 'nothing'. So, if you volunteer or if you care for a family member, say so. It's still a valid job even if it's not a paid one.

Here are three possible responses:
1. "About what?"
2. "I'm retired."
3. "I'm self-employed"

Well in my situation, I just tell everyone that I am a WAHM or work at home mom. I don't make oodles of money but what money I do make goes on my taxes, therefore I am working.

I would say, I would definitely let you know first when I get a job. Now I am jobless.
