when you take money and promise to return do you return these money?

If the person who lent you the money did not ask you for the money, but you did promise to take it and return it back, do you return it?

If I were to borrow anything, I return it. I prefer to save rather than borrow.

I think I would return it. Or at least mention it to them. "Oh, about that money I borrowed, it will take me some time to get it back to you" - and that way if they want to excuse you from the debt, they can... Welcome to Mylot!
