I tried very hard to sleep so many hours ago but it was just not going to happen. I was already exhausted yet I kept tossing and turning. My head was running wild with thoughts that I wanted to put aside for the night so I could rest but nope! Didn't happen.
So I watched the Absolutely Fabulous movie for the first time while MyLotting to get my mind off things. I think I may be able to sleep now. Hopefully! I really need to. My brain is becoming mush.
So even though it's 6 in the morning, I shall try to get to sleep. Most likely sleeping the day away!
YAY DEPRESSION
Good night / good morning.
What do you do to help you fall asleep?

@Happy2BeMe Thank you. I did then but now I'm back to square one again lol Was up all night last night. Trying to stay awake now since it's still day time. But most likely will lay down soon. Hope you're well!

@jaboUK I don't have a job at the moment. Which is actually a good thing right now considering my mental state. I did recently get my Nail Certificate in the mail. I did Cert II in Nail technology. I am wanting to do another course soon though.

@LovingMyBabies Yeah I do watch some TV too. I like to fall asleep to it. I don't always work well with complete silence.
Hope you're well Jennifer.

I have very few nights where I don't fall asleep once my head hits the pillow. When I got my new manufactured home, and before I moved any furniture in I decided I wanted to sleep in it. I brought my sleeping bag and laid it on the bedroom floor. I crawled in and just could not get to sleep. I tossed and turn about half the night. Then I got up and turn my sleeping bag 90ยบ and crawled back in. I fell asleep within minutes and slept very well the rest of the night. So when I moved my furniture in I put the bed in the direction I turned my sleeping bag on that night. I'm not saying that will help you. It's just something that popped into my mind when I thought about tossing and turning trying to get to sleep.

Welcome back! I also slept for 12 hours. Had been working with Mom since I woke up. If I can't sleep then to make myself sleepy, I do following things
Listen to music and connect with the emotions of the songs
Watch videos until I stop following
Read something until words become jumbled mess
Think about pleasant things
Play with characters and enact the plot in my head
Bounce my leg while I lie down
Cover my eyes to block even a tiniest bit of light
Get a cold shower in Summers and hot one in winters
Wash my eyes with cold water
Go out to sit or walk round and round
Basically, I do/ think everything that does not let me think that I am having trouble sleeping. Because thinking that delays the sleep even more.

@Daljinder Thank you for the list ma'am! And I agree with the whole thinking thing. That's pretty much the issue a majority of the time for me.

@scheng1 I do often. It's very annoying. It isn't always near the 30 hours mark but it can be 12 - 20 hours without sleep often. In fact I slept 2 hours early this morning. Been up all night. So might lay down soon.

@RubyHawk Completely understandable. Some good sleep would do wonders....when it actually happens lol
