Coffee or Tea?

So what powers you up in the morning? Do you let the good aroma of coffee wakes you up, or do you prefer the calming effect of tea to brighten up your day?
A couple of years ago, I joined a marketing group which sold mushroom coffee. As I walked my talk about this healthy coffee every time I endorsed the product, my trust in it went deeper and deeper. It was a good coffee, although, I had an overindulgence that had increased my coffee consumption from the normal one cup to seven cups a day. I just remembered visiting a doctor's clinic because of palpitation.
I was then advised to stop drinking coffee.
From that day on, I stopped drinking coffee. I had never drunk coffee for almost 10 years. I've figured, it's really easy to stop if your motivation is high or in my case, if health is already at stake. Last October, 2016. I've started drinking coffee again. But this time, I only drink two to three times a week. Sometimes, I drink ginger tea or green tea, but I always try to hydrate myself. Water is still my best bet.
So are you a tea or coffee person?

@Callie29 So sorry about your coffee consumption problem. But happy that you restarted it again, still only upto 3 times a week! I'm a coffee boy, always! Great to meet a fellow coffee enthusiast!

@Callie29 Indian Filter Coffee, with less sugar. Outside India, I think this is known as 'Drip Brew' coffee. And sometimes, Capucchino too. What about your choice, apart from the mushroom coffee, which you stopped?

I am a coffee drinker....I don't care for tea. I drink about two to four cups of coffee a day.

@Callie29 coffee has never been effective in keeping me awake. Sometimes I suffer from insomnia, but it has no correlation with the amount of coffee I have or haven't consumed.

I start every day with two cups of coffee. The first one to get my brain functioning and the second with my breakfast
