Can't We All Just Get Along?

No, I'm not talking about us here on myLot. I am talking about my neighbors. When we moved from this house to the one closer to my job about 8 years ago, everybody here seemed to get along just fine. Since we have moved back we noticed that there seems to be a few of the neighbors that just can not live and let live. We are getting along but several of our neighbors are just plain being nasty to each other. I don't now what has happened and truthfully I really don't care. I just would like to see people acting like the adults they acted like before we left. There is a constant fight going on between a couple of them that just will not go away. One will call the county inspector about the other. The other will call the police about the neighbors dog barking. The last incident was when the one neighbor called and reported the other neighbor for having plants too close to the easement. Those plants have been there for over 20 years, they don't block any ones views, I just don't understand why it is all going on. I wouldn't voice my opinion these days here on our block if my life depended on it. I don't want to be involved. They need to get over themselves.

These are the kind of people that will end up on those silly court tv programs. Let Judge Judy straighten them out! I am fortunate that our neighbors do not fight.

@Shellyann36 it really is. I guess it shows why some kids act the way they do. They are just imitating the adults.

I think you need to live and let live when you are neighbors.

I have had a few bad neighbours in my life and it was no fun. Where I live now, so far, I have had no serious problem. I love peace! Hopefully, peace will return to your neighbourhood.

They have always been nice to us. All of us used to get together and have bbq's and yard sales.

Fussing over the plant issue now does seem very petty. It's a shame those people have fallen out with each other.

It is a shame. They argue over the dog barking and plants. It's just so silly.

That sounds like too much drama going on in your neighborhood. I can't blame you for staying out of it.

I like peace and quiet. Save the drama for somewhere else.

It is their problem, now if they could only not try to involve everyone else in their problems.

Oh wow, it seems people can't seem to mind their own business nowadays. I don't know if it's jealousy or what. I can see someone being reported for doing something illegal of course but having plants too close to the easement just seems petty to me. I have some neighbors like that as well. One reports the other for something and the following week the other is doing the reporting. Last time there a "blow-out" because one of them was shoveling snow and when they threw it over their shoulder the tiniest bit of snow fell back on the road and the other freaked out. I could understand if one was shoveling it in the others driveway completely on purpose but this wasn't.

I thought it was petty too. It was clearly just a way of getting back at the neighbor. It sounds lie we have the same type of neighbors.
