~Don't Sweat The Small Stuff~

That's how I do what I do! Many people ask me on a daily basis how do you deal with 5 kids, babysitting, advertising, being an admin on 3 FB groups and still have time to do things like MyLot?
My big secret is-I don't sweat the small stuff! Sorry if I disappointed you with my secret but that's the truth!
The stuff I can get done I do...if there's more-it can wait! I got most of the dishes done a bit ago but of course there's more in the sink now. I don't let that thought stress me. When I get them done I do-they aren't going anywhere. Unfortunately sometimes. Lol.
Another secret of mine is I get things ready ahead of time. Right now I know Josiah will be waking up shortly and will be hungry. I made his bottle a few minutes ago and set the diapers & wipes next to it. No searching, no last minute making a bottle while he screams, and no stress!
I do this when my older 3 are home as well. If we have anywhere to be in the morning they set out their clothes the night before and I wake them up 2 hours ahead of time to make sure we have time to get ready.
Doing these little things helps to keep the stress to a minimum and when things go a little wrong I take it in stride.

@Happy2beme Thank you very much! =) There are so many things to stress over-the dishes in the sink or dusting won't be something I stress over. Lol.

@LovingMyBabies If you feel stressed and you think you have no time to do things, it takes more time and finally you do nothing good.

You are doing well with keeping the stress levels to a minimum. I wish I could do the same. Little one is napping at the moment. When she wakes we have snuggle time. Once she is awake and entertaining herself, I mosey to the kitchen and do up the dishes.
Laundry is never ending and I do that a little each day. It is a process without having a dryer to use. Our clothes rack is okay, but with our furnace running less because of the warmer temps, it takes the clothes longer to dry. I'll have to haul out the fan and place it in front of the rack. It helps to dry them faster.
Love the pretty posies. The color is great!

@LovingMyBabies If I had a clothesline that I could put them outside on it would be much easier!

@Elusivebutterfly I totally understand about the laundry-we have to go to the laundromat and it would be so much easier if we had machines at home. We make do though.
Thanks!

That is a great philosophy for life. Too many times, I sweat the small stuff. I do try to get things ready ahead of time. When I take the time to do that, things work out so much better for me. I envy your calm reserve in the face of the small stuff!

This is how I handle things too. I always say it will be there waiting for me when I get time to do it! Lol! Things can get hectic sometimes and the little things like having clothing set out the night before can help out a whole lot.

@LovingMyBabies Exactly, anything I can do to make my day go stress free is great! I use to like a spotless, orderly house then I had kids. Now, just as long as it is clean and everything is put away out of the middle of the floor fine! Lol!

That is so great. I envy you. I sweat stuff that hasn't even happened. I get worried if nothing is happening. I am over sensitive to stress and so that rips me away from calm and hurls me into a horrid time. Being ready ahead is something I always did too. And being organized which I guess goes along with the other. I have tried to get my daughter and my grandson to set his stuff out the night before and they just don't stay with it. He has missed the bus because he couldn't find his watch or other glove. Ugh! Good for you though and I bet your kids are learning this from you so they will be off to a good start.

That's very smart. I do the same things. I get everything prepared before hand. I usually do all my cleaning after all my kids are in bed. I can clean faster and easier with no distractions. It helps give me time to do things during the day without worrying.
