You know when it is time

There are certain indicators that tell you when you have to do something.
Especially when that something is clipping your nails.
I don't know, I like having long fingernails, but I also hate it because I have to clean them out all the time. I freak out if something is underneath them. I will find anything to clean out my nails. But I like having long fingernails because it just feels so nice when typing.
But there are times when they just gotta go.
Probably when you stab yourself in the face
Break one of the nails.
one of the nails keeps getting caught on something.
Stabbing yourself in the eye, that is a fun one.
Or one of my reasons is to do it is when they feel too heavy on my hands and it bugs me.
But I discovered a new reason.
I had an itch on my face, no I did not stab my face. Some how my thumbnail got caught in my nose ring and it pulled my nose ring.
That was painful. and now my nails must go.
When is it your time to finally say bye-bye to your finger nails?

I Like having long nails too. Like you said I also have a habit to clean them regularly with anything sharp and pointy that my hand can find be it a pin or a pen. That's when it irritates me and I have to say goodbye to my beautiful nails.

I remember when I was in high school I always used my ID card haha it was the best. Luckily nails grow back so fast so it is easier to appreciate their length

Wow..well I love having long finger nails as well and they are very hard so when they do break it hurts pretty bad or I will break them so far down that my skin will bleed.. but the only time I cut them is when they get snagged or they are just getting to long.. but my pinky nail I will not cut at all.. I like to see how long I can get it.

Your opening-lines reminded me of when Jesus mentioned 'the signs of the times' to the Pharisees.
But the thing about the fingernails ... I clip them pretty-much whenever they stick out 'noticably' past my fingers

I like to make posts with the lines people are familiar with haha not religious whatsoever but I do know the bible pretty well.
That is a normal thing for people to do with their fingernails haha

Since I type like a typist, not hunt peck with two fingers, when my nails get too long I make mistakes, then it's time to cut the nails...or when more than one breaks....I don't like some long and some short.
