Goodbye Istanbul, hello Colombo.

A lot of me doesn't really want to head back tonight to Colombo but my name's on a Turkish Airliners ticket. I think we stop at the Maldives on the way but I don't get off. I could well stay on here in Istanbul for a while longer. It's easy to get to know people here. My few days were spent doing not very much other than chatting with a succession of people over coffee. By tomorrow night I should be washing in refreshingly cold water in the cubicle behind my grandfather's house after a sticky journey into severe heat that I'm not likely to escape from again in the near future. I'm off now to make the most of my last afternoon here before I head to the airport.
