I listened to music yesterday. Have you ever owned one of these?

Yeppers, I listened to some vinyl yesterday. Pat Metheny. Grateful dead. Even a little Bach. There's nothing quite like the sound of a record, even if you have to listen through some pops and ticks now and then.
Did you ever own one of these? Do you still? I know JJ does. I assume FourWalls does. Do you know what it's called? How do you listen to most of your music these days? I either play it through my kitchen radio, my fancy stereo, or my computer with headphones.

@TheHorse I kept the ones that mattered. A lot went because of moving. Only a few 45s remain. All the extended play 33 singles from the 80s.

@JohnRoberts I wish I'd kept my 45s from childhood days.

I have this cheap little radio/CD player in this office, sometimes I will listen to the radio or play a CD, for the most part I listen to music in the car.
Yes, I grew up with a turntable and records. When I discovered Kiss when I was under 10 years old, My parents wondered who`s child I was. My mother was classical to soft rock, my dad was all the way country.

I have a little kiddy one I found at a yard sale. I wanted one to listen one last time to my old vinyls. They are shot due to the needle I had, or actually mom had, back when I was a teen. They are old cause that was fifty years ago.

Yuppers, I used one for years; up until 1985 @TheHorse . I still have boxes of vinyl records that I have willed to @JolietJake . Some which are worth some money; just in case he doesn't like the genre like Elvis Presley.

Was suppose to purchase a vinyl player last Christmas. Held out because I wasn't happy with the reviews that I was reading about the brand of player that I was suppose to buy.
Right now, saw a company that refurbishes old vinyl players adn the reviews on their refurbished players are always good.
Usually, listen to music in Spotify or in my radio.

We have one, my husband has several hundred 33s, mostly country, that he's had for hundreds of year (joke) but I hate when he plays them as they are scratched and they give me a headache.

@TheHorse Good speakers and the volume on high. I miss those days. I cannot remember things that happen now a days but when the oldies come on I remember the words for everything. My daughter loves all the oldies too and she is in her 40's. She always loved them as she heard them play all the time from me.

That is a nice turntable. I still have one that I bought that will play the vinyl or I can put the album on my computer too. I still have at least 200 vinyl albums.

I had many of those. It was called a victrola. Kids now a days would not know what it is. I listen to music in my car, on my phone and on the television. Usually when I am on here I have the oldies station on and it makes me happy as so many memories of the 50's and 60's I love.

@TheHorse Time changed, I remember when the cd's were coming out as something new. The generation like our parents new how to convert oldern items to a new one. The were more practical and curious. Nowadays, it's easier to throw things away and to buy new articles. Who still repairs a clock, a radio or a car on his or her own?
