What Grinds Your Gears?

Everyone has a little thing that really annoys them, a pet peeve, something that "grinds their gears".
For me, it's when people chew with their mouths open, creating unpleasant chewing sounds that really cringe and irritate me. To be honest, I used to chew with my mouth open sometimes when I was little, but the more my mom scolded me for it I eventually stopped doing it, until to the point where I can't stand people chewing with their mouths open. No offense, I know that some people weren't taught to chew with their mouths closed since they were little, but I kinda frown upon those who chew with their mouths open. So whoever you are, whether you were taught to do so or not, try to chew with your mouths closed. I think it really shows well manners and good eating etiquette.
So that's what really grinds my gears. What grinds yours? Post them here and explain to others why

It's in the same family as yours...chewing gum....there is a time and place for it, but if you Re dealing with the public there is nothing so annoying so as having the your cashier or receptionist jawing away at a mouthful of chewing gum....often with their mouth open to make it even more obnoxious.

I've always been self aware of things that seem to annoy other people even at a young age. So I always tried to be chill around adults. I teach my children to have good table manners and to be self aware of themselves.

@voodoodall I'm sure that they will in the future. I too have many things that I could thank my parents for being somewhat strict on me when I was younger.

You should never go to South Korea! The people there eat loudly and they chew with their mouths open.
I can't remember any pet peeves of mine at all. I probably have none.
