Good morning everyone
Today is our oldest daughter's 16birthday and it's Easter day.
And we are broke no money to celebrate her sweet16 or Easter. We did buy her a birthday gift 2 months in advance( thank god) I just wanted her day to be special and all decked out with a photoshoot, family, friends. So I'm just sadden by this. Her dad just started a new job and I start mine next week so money is tight for us rt now. Any advice to help celebrate her day without a cake or anything would greatly be appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Oh no. Im so sorry. Wish there was something i could do to help. Maybe play some games, or have a family movie marathon of her favorite movies.

I am sorry things aren't so good right now but I am sure at 16 she understands what is going on. Just spending the day together, watching a movie or cooking a meal. Looking back through childhood pictures and talking and sharing memories would be a fun way to spend the day. Just make her feel special on her special day.

You could all have a walk on the park if there is one nearby and buy cotton candy or something and or play ball.

I'm sorry that you feel this way.
Find a way to make a special memory for her and all of you on this day.
Enjoy a meal outside if the weather permits and reminisce, look back over some of her baby pictures.
I hope that she has a great birthday.
