I am very excited that finally Indian Govt has acted upon this and now we will have the GST implemented from July this year. I styrongly feel this will end lot of local tax issues and corruption which some states have been following. Please share if you have any experiences with such laws.

Absolutely. It will have some initial hiccups as a change from 50 yrs practice will have inertia.

@pravanki great troubles at implementation, but they will be over pretty soon. More awareness on the concept is needed through out the country, but I'm sure it's a welcome step!

@Mass_Sonu What is the trouble, business people already migrated to it, before implementation, all genuine business have there GST Id in their hand. Only CA may charge a lil extra ;) initailly. But if People don't create unnecessary havoc, transition will be smooth.

This is what they are saying to you, GST will help the country in this and that...and before you know it, you will have to pay more tax.

Multiple level of taxation will be removed. One tax If something was of Rs100 and now retailer selling it for Rs125, previously customer used to pay Tax on Rs125 but now, they will pay on Rs25 only , which will be less than the total. Prices will lower down. Its a great move.

Hi. That's very wrong info you have. Effective taxation will come down. And most importantly the local taxes will go that means uniform taxation through the states. As a agriculture business orientated country we should be very thankful to this.
