I mentioned in past threads a little bit what has been going on. I did speak about it on Facebook since it has been all over facebook anyways. I thought I would update everyone on the situations. If you have questions, please ask. Just remember certain details I will not speak about.
(To those who don't know, Matt Miller is my ex-fiance. We were set to marry in June.)
I was fooled by him. I never knew for the 5 years a monster was living in my house. He must be insane. As I can't fathom a father figure doing something like this.

It says alleged so he's not been found guilty of anything?

He did it. There is video proof. He hasn't been convicted yet if that is what you are asking but he did everything he has been charged with. Still going through the court process.

They have to say "alleged" or they can get sued. If someone robs a bank here and there is a security film of it and everyone sees the robber's face clearlyl--even if he's holding up a sign identifying himself--he "allegedly" robbed the bank until he is tried and convicted.

@rusty2rusty over there you have different ways of doing things.
when someone has been charged over here reporting of their past and alleged crimes will stop as it has the potential to pollute the jury.
Even if there is overwhelming evidence against a person I still believe in innocent until proven guilty in a court of law....I can see this is a personal thing for you so won't go on about my beliefs in that area
I once got arrested for something I didn't do and was presumed guilty by a few until more evidence came to light and I wasn't charged.

I agree I am glad I found out before we married. It happened last month, to early to left it behind. Can't do that till all the court stuff is done and dealing with issues that come with it. My daughter has started counseling. I don't start til next week. I will be glad when it is done so I can forget the last five years.

This is awful, Sandy, and the first I've heard of your situation. I'm glad you figured it out before getting married. I read the comments and wonder whether you might want to delete whatever you put out on facebook. I'm saying this because of what Pat Anthony said. Even though it's all over facebook already, I doubt his lawyer could use what everyone else says to favor him like they could use what you say there.

I get enraged when I hear things like this. I am so very sorry for you and your daughter. I'm glad he has finally been caught and stopped. I hope he never sees the light of day again.

I just can't even imagine how you and your daughter are dealing with this. This is so terrible and I am glad that he was finally caught and will be punished for what he did. No amount of punishment will ever be enough for what he has taken from her.

Thank you for your kind words. I can say it hasn't been easy dealing with the fallout. Your right no amount of punishment will ever be enough for him taking my daughter innocent away.

You heard me say this before: Use caution when sharing this information. No one wants him to be able to say he is not being treated fairly (and get a lesser sentence) b/c of the 'treatment' he rec'd from others, including strangers and the media.
It happens all the time that people get away with things b/c of the reaction of others.

My heart breaks for you and your daughter. Now you know what the behavior problems have been about. If he is in those tapes then your attorney will have no problems getting a conviction.
I will never understand how adults can abuse children.
