Do you get upset when a friend or family member forgets your birthday?

April 18, 2017 12:48pm CST
For some people this can mean a very great resentment, for others it means nothing because it's just a date like any other... But, what about you? How do you react? I particularly only get upset if my parents forget (which until now has never happened and I hope it never happens). Otherwise I never get upset (maybe if some of my best friends forget... which also never happened).

It doesn't bother me at all. It has happened many times over the years. It is not a big deal for me.

I find myself withing Happy Birthday to people I haven't seen in years on Facebook. It probably just makes them hope they're looking at their Notifications the day my birthday occurs.

When people I really care about forgot about it, that's when it really hits me. Otherwise, I don't expect my regular friends to even remember

No,never. In fact,I myself sometimes forget the date on which I was born. How can I expect others to remember it? People have a lot of more important works to do.

Nah. I have certain family members who remember my birthday. And I remember theirs. That's it. Facebook remembers some for me. But I don't take that very seriously.

When I was younger, it would bother me. These days, it's no problem. I'm usually surprised that anyone remembers it! lol

I think I will get upset. I mean, birthdays only celebrated once a year. So why forget it. Right?

That wouldn't upset me, anyways I don't celebrate it. It comes back every year, no that it would be our last to feel bad.

it doesn't upset me at all, I think I have been a victim so I don't see the need. I rarely celebrate my birthday

Never had anyone forget my birthday. Only one time ages ago I forgot myself and was reminded by the first person who called me on my birthday.

It wouldn't upset me. People have much more important things to remember than my birthday.

Since my parents are no longer in this world, my sister is the only person who remembers me on my birthday, Seems most men do not remember their own B`day and I have to mention it, sometimes I do sometimes I dont.

I never react of this regards at all. I never forget my own people's birthday; you may say this my good habit. I greet them heartily. Of course I hope they also remember me. But sometimes some of them forget to greet me on time; they wish latterly and say "sorry for late" which make me feel discomfort!

Not for all, but there is someone special in our life. By whom we always keep expectation. If that person forgets to wish, then we feel upset.

Am not great at remembering birthdays other than those of my kids, family members and close relatives. Tomorrow April 19 will be birthday and if I had not seen this post I would not have remembered my own birthday. When others forget my birthday I wonder if they do because they know it doesn't matter to me and truely it doesn't. If nobody wants to get me a gift it's no problem but am planning a BIG BASH in a few years for my 50th Earthday nonetheless and that will be a very private and select list comprising of those who normally would wish me happy birthday anyway.
