I was strolling down the street of London and I saw a crowd. I approached it to see what was happening. I saw a man lying on the street and no one tried to do something. A while later a police came and asked that question. No one answered yes to the question. What would have happened if one person had answered yes? Any idea?

If someone answered yes they would be held a witness and probably will get asked many questions about what happened.

That can be the reason. People in the city are working people. They have to rush. I noticed people rushed and had no time for other things not on their schedule.

They're too afraid to get involved but not afraid to exploit the situation on the net. But there are instance were people help.

I once saw a pregnant lady slip on the ice on the steps of a Public Office and no one did anything either. So I phoned up my workmates in the Telephone Exchange and asked what they thought whether to call the 999 service and send an Ambulance. Was a definite yes and I was almost in tears as she could have gone into labour lying there like that.

Nowadays most people seem to have no time for other people, especially people in a big city like London.

@yanzalong I had my workmates to consult with as I was not sure and I was only 19 at the time. I have stopped to help others but only helped being concerned and letting the Ambulance Men come over to see to the said people.

Some people who rush to the scene just to observe and not to help, they take some photos and posted it in Facebook, and that's it.
