Thank goodness it is all over with. I was so tired after the weekend and in quite a bit of pain. On Friday, we met my parents over at my Aunt Helen's house to help them out a bit. I was picking up a dining room table and chairs (I had let her use years ago) and a fridge and a bookcase. My two older boys, Michael and David joined us and we helped Mama and Daddy clear out some things. It was a busy day and we got home late in the afternoon. After getting home I had to clean up the bookcase and fridge. After that was done, I started cooking for Saturday. I stayed up til around 2 cooking and then woke back up at 8 to finish everything. By the end of the day, I was in terrible pain. My feet and my back were screaming at me. Then Sunday we turned around and did it all over again at the in-law's house. I must admit that Sunday was much easier on me. I had lots of help there. The kids had a great time at both of the Easter egg hunts. How was your holiday weekend?

You young whippersnapper, I wish I had that kind of energy and strength ..... well, at least I'm getting stuff done in triple the time it would take you but I won't suffer quite as much as long as I don't try to do too much at one time, thank GOD for Mylot.

@Shellyann36 i have started taking more things lately because of the blood pressure concern. but i sometimes wonder if taking more is leading to needing more.

@bunnybon7 Yes I do need to pace myself! I have flexaril for my back pain and I take it with ibuprofen when I am really hurting.

This year we stayed at home alone. My niece went with his fiancee away for 4 days and my brother said he was alone and would have invited Mom to have lunch with him. We appreciated the quiet day alone.

@JudyEv I packed far too much into it. I am really debating if I am going to continue to host the Easter Dinner in the future. I may just have the egg hunt for the kids.

@Shellyann36 Sometimes these celebrations end up being not much fun for the organiser.

@ridingbet I did join in on the egg hunt on Sunday. It was fun. The only kids hunting eggs were my youngest 3. They so enjoyed it.

Next to the toilet, I think the dirtiest thing in a person's home might be the refrigerator. I mean it can look clean, and then you go through some things and you see a world of dirty you never realized was there.

@AmbiePam you are so right. I was fortunate though. My aunt Helen kept things pretty clean. The inside of the fridge was not bad but the outside was bad. She had it connected in one of her outlying sheds and it was really dusty on the outside. I am glad I have it. It came in handy!

It went pretty well, but no rest for me. I spent most of Monday cleaning up after family over for the day Sunday....my days are just too full.

My kids are both too old to want to do Easter Egg hunts anymore :-( Sounds like all of these larger things you moved would leave you exhausted and with a back ache.

@shaggin It sucks when our little ones outgrow the fun stuff! I didn't really have to move any of the heavy things. Both of the older boys and my hubby were there to lift and carry. I just had to clean them all.

Might you have been so sore partially because you helped move so many things before cooking, or do you think it was because you were up so late getting ready and didn't get enough sleep? The only thing I had to make for Easter was deviled eggs which I began making about eight years ago. I'm ready to be done with those, but my sister thinks I should make them every year until the end of time. I make half of them with some horseradish mixed with the mayo. Yum.

@MarshaMusselman I have back problems and when I stand for long periods of time it kills my back. I have also started having problems with my feet. I did get those Dr. Scholls foot liners (the ones you have to stand on the machine and have your pressure points measured) and they help so much. I went to the doctor about my foot pain a few months ago and he railed on me for wearing cheap shoes with no support. So I bought a decent pair of Sketchers and the Dr. Scholls liners and they are much better.

@FayeHazel thank you. I finally got rid of the aches and pains. It took me an entire week! I loved that truck but I no longer have it.
