The ditches are beginning to dry up and I can already see all of the cans and bottles that have been thrown out the window as people drive down our dirt road! Honestly, can't people keep a garbage bag in their car and simply take their garbage home with them? If nothing else, I will reap the benefits of a little exercise as I pick them up. Now it's too bad that they were pop bottles that I was collecting. At least I could make a little money lol! How many of you remember walking along a road in search of bottles that you could turn in? It was fun then to see how much spending money you could make in an afternoon.

I have a feeling that it will be me lol... but at least it will get done. Now if they do send some volunteers out to clean it up... even better. :)

I don't do that anymore but I used to. When my brother and I were little, in the 60s, we used to take our wagon around the neighborhood and collect bottles for the deposit. No deposit on bottles anymore, 55 years later.
My brother threw a gum wrapper out of his window once, he was about 7 years old. Dad stopped the car and walked back with him to retrieve it, told him littering was wrong and it was the same as taking a poop in your own living room. We never littered after that example. Dad said people who litter are nothing but trash and to this day that's what I believe.

It disappoints me to see garbage thrown all over this beautiful, precious planet. Is it so hard to put it in the proper place as you say? I don't think so. People in general just don't care enough about the planet or our future. That is sad!
Yes, I was one who collected bottles when I was young and loved making a few cents.

@Hate2Iron It is very sad! Maybe they think that this is a disposable planet and we can move to another any time?

I know... it is sad isn't it. It seems that very few people care anymore. Do they not see what is happening to our planet??

Interesting! It definitely is good for health due to exertion needed to do this work. I am just curious that how much money one can make by collecting garbage? I am into making money from almost everything type of thing haha.
