Trying to change diet

Most of the time if I do on line at the store I buy a energy drink and a candy bar Today I got a banana and chocolate milk. I think protein may be a key to more energy but I am not sure but I think this is a start.

You're correct! Protein not only makes you feel more full, curbing your appetite for less healthy snacks, but it also helps build muscle. If you are trying to get energy to make it through the day, maybe add some peanut butter to your banana. Tastes great AND you will be SO shocked at the energy you get. Be careful on this protein hunt though. DO NOT be fooled by stuff that LOOKS healthy and says its packed with protein....marketing. Read labels if you are serious, and you will not only be surprised by what you find, you will notice a difference!

any thing else beside peanut butter I do not like peanut butter or any kind of nuts and yes i know they are the one of the best source for energy . I just watch the squarels climb trees and run all over the place and what do they eat nuts and every thing else we humans leave behind

@eagletrek2 ALSO if you want snacks with high protein that are not bananas and nuts lol.... tuna salad, Swiss Cheese, hard boiled eggs, avacado, and greek yogurt all have high protein (if you get the right ones LABELS LABELS LABELS)..... and of course the best way to get protein is a steak but if its too big, or paired with some good sides, it overloads you with fatigue instead of energy hahaha

A banana is surely better than a candy bar, try to add some meats to your diet, they are the best for protein.

@eagletrek2 If you need to lose weight, forget about chocolate milk and candy bar, grilled or baked meats have a lot less calories than those junk foods.

That is just part of life. Another important part is exercise. If you do not get enough exercise, you cannot sleep very soundly at night, and you will end up very tired the next day.

I make sure I get protein every few hours- I eat stuff like beans and peanut butter and other foods like tofu. Not tons of protein but enough to keep my system on a regular, even level.
