The absolutely most important thing in receiving is your stance. You have to be able to move around quickly and fluidly, as well as accurately, without taking your eye off the ball. Make sure your feet are shoulder width apart, bend your knees slightly to give you a good start, and put your lead foot (righty-right, lefty-left) in front to make your take off quicker. ALSO the number one thing people do wrong is hit the ball with their hands. Point your thumbs to the floor, keep your arms straight, and meet, hit, and serve the ball with your forearms.

@tadodoy15yx I played volleyball for 6 years, coached for 2. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask. BTW pro tip - do a lot of squats, and use soothing Aloe Vera gel after games and practice on your forearms when they feel all raw and stuff.

To be a good volleyball player, your feet movement should be fast... So that you have time to adjust yourself and take ball easily.. And you have to adjust the pace with which you meet the ball, so it would be easier for your co-players.. And a good volleyball player always ease the things for his/her team...
