I'm craving for Lemonade!

United States
April 23, 2017 8:41pm CST
It's getting warmer in Southern California, so I've been craving for a refreshing cold drink like lemonade! Last week, I bought a jug of Simply Lemonade (which is my favorite brand for lemonade) and so today while stopping by Vons! I kid you not, the entire lemonade aisle was wiped out! It's probably because other people are thinking the same, time to buy lemonade and it'll be perfect for the weekend functions (pool party, beach, lake, parties) so I had to settle with a different brand. Literally the second to the last lemonade available. Not to mention the prices were jacked up too! Disappointing that this Florida's Natural Lemonade was not very good though. I would not purchase it again. If a product is out of stock (the brand you typically purchase, what would you do? Settle with a different kind? Forget it? Try a new brand?

Are the lemons and limes sold out too? I think it will be much better to buy lemons or limes and juice them. Since summer is not just a few days event, you can save more money and still enjoy the refreshing drinks when you juice the limes or lemons and add to drinking water.

@infatuatedbby True. It is so frustrating to drive all the way just to get lemons. I think a better way is to get your parents to juice the lemons, put in fridge, and then when you visit them, you can take a bottle of it home!

I make a big jug of lemonade several times during the summer months. I mix several different things to give it just the right flavor. I am a sweet and sour sort of girl. LOL

There are cases when a new brand much be better. However if used to something then it can be very difficult to adapt to something else. It is about habit i guess

We have a lemon tree, so we try to make our own lemonade at home to control the sugar. But my kids don't mind lemonade from any source! That being said, I wish my kids weren't picky like that about other foods. They like their certain brands/tastes and don't like to deviate from that - so a substitution is a no go. But me personally, for the most part I could settle for a different brand if it has to be that way - but I may or may not like it!

It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a cold glass of lemonade! Now you've got me craving some! Yesterday was super hot here in Florida, and it would have been a perfect day for a glass of ice-cold lemonade! I'll have to add that to my grocery list for this week! If the regular brand I normally buy is out of stock, I'll usually go with another brand of the same flavor, depending on the what the type of drink it is. Sometimes, with certain drinks, I would rather do without than switch to another brand.

I was totally craving lemonade when I read someone write a post about it a few days ago. I do not recall who but I had to get me some lemonade. I also bought lemonade last week and ran out. :) I prefer not to switch brands for lemonade now! I like my Simply Lemonade.

lemonade here is lemonada. it means squeezing two or three small green sour calamansi in a glass, then adding water and sugar. i don't always buy ready-to-drink juice, but i do try different brands. i like tropicana and tampico.
