We had the most successful mango season this year. We still have a few mangoes left on the trees. The birds and squirrels are having a great time. Sadly while they try to nibble or peck half eaten mangoes fall off the trees.
But today I had a pleasant surprise. A fully ripe mango had fallen down. Perhaps it escaped the attention of 'predators'
I cannot call them predators really as the garden was designed with them in mind

It seems the mango season is getting over in your garden. Anyway I guess you had a wonderful time with mangoes this time. I miss that opportunity to pluck the same from tree or picking the ripened one from ground. Now only option left for us to buy it from vendors.

@allknowing Usually we visit in the last week of May or first week of June, by that time fruits seasons almost over. Since children are school going can't visit native place in the exact time of fruits.

Why don't you go to your native place during the fruit season?

You are blessed to be able to eat delicious mangoes as here they are not so good and very expensive. I will want to have a mango tree in paradise.

@allknowing I don't think so, at least I have never seen them where I live. I would be so happy if they could be grown here.

@1hopefulman Under simulated conditions anything grows anywhere. We have tulips here in India
The garden, named after former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, was officially thrown open to visitors on Tuesday.

@allknowing I think the ones we get come from Australia, not sure, I've never bought them. I do buy them when I'm over there though.

Looks like a perfect formed mango. That's considered an exotic fruit here.
