to all the mylot users, I ask this question; what are the things which triggers you to participate in a discussion? is it your personal interest similarities, or is it the content overview? or something else... like I engage in discussions which I can relate to in different levels. What about you? Please, let me know...

I read a large mix of subjects....I avoid the, what I had for breakfast (lunch, supper) posts.....I also am unlikely to comment on posts that are discussions religion or politics.
Returning to read more, often depends on the response I get from a Mylotter. If their response is only a thank you, or I like it.... I will rarely return. Discussion is the key.
Are you likely to add to a discussion? If so, what do you add?

@TheTalkingjay its always nice to see a response that can be added to. Thank you just ends the discussion. It implies there's no more to be said on the subject.

For me it`s either a similar interest or a conflict of interests. But of course if I disagree it is just an opinion I respect everyone.

It vaires a lot.
I like just nearly all discussions and sometimes even reply to very short ones.
Some topics are way too off for my tastes, but no matter, I can always find enough on here to respond and interact with.

@TheTalkingjay Since I lack time,I generally prefer to discussions that are short, easy to understand and interesting. Before responding to a discussion I ensure I can say something about the topic.

The first thing that draws me into a discussion is a catchy title. My interest varies although I am partial to politics and world events. I don't hesitate to express my opinions on controversial matters even if it run counter to the popular consensus.
