Garden help

I'm wondering if anyone has planted their gardens yet. Any good tips or tricks you can give me I love planting flowers but I always seem to kill them! :( i need help!

When I buy plants I double check that they are super tough and hard to kill. I'm not sure what your place is like. Mild or harsh? Hard winters or mild?
