While I am no expert, Internet of Things is a machine to machine computational technology, which makes different computer based systems "talk". In an ideal scenario, it could be like: An alert telling a smartphone to decrease A/C cooling. Or, a refrigerator conveying message to increase the degree of cooling. Or a TV alerting remote or a phone to switch it off after 4 hours. There are already some such smarthome systems in the world, but not much in India.

May be exciting but dangerous too. This is not something I would use, a hacker can take control of everything in your home. There are already so many keyless cars stolen due to hackers.
