Money Saving Tips

April 25, 2017 8:34am CST
I recently got a "new" car, I love it but it also means taking on an additional bill every month. Anyone have any money saving tips? Every bit saved will help me pay off my car faster so I would love to hear how others save!

You should try to make a budget. Put a sum of money aside and try your best to use only that much money. Or you could try to buy cheaper products. For short distances try to go on foot as this may help you save some fuel

Better you make a plan when, where to use your car This is the first tip. Whenever you go out think about the traffic and also the alternative root if available.

I don't really know anything about cars and what to do to save on gas and all... but when i want to save, i try to stay away from expensive food, i also walk instead of riding - when where i want to go is just near... and also refrain from going out or hanging out with friends

I am also looking for cheap ways to get together with friends. We started a card club, so we just get together at someone's house and play cards. Simple and cheap!

I owe about $3,500 in debt. I've cut back on buying things and treating myself where I can. I have paid my bills then set about $50 aside to go out or spend on whatever then rest extra money I throw on the debt. I brought it down from $8,500 from October.

You just need to remember to stick to your plan, don't overspend even if you really want to... No boyfriend/girlfriend. Cost too much money. Do you have to pay interest?

@atoz1to10 LOL, ok no boyfriends for a while :) Yep, I have to pay interest on my loan. So my goal is to save enough money up that I can make an additional car payment every few months so I can pay off my loan early.

@bailee2 Can't you borrow from a family member then pay them back with no interest? It will save you alot of money..

@atoz1to10 Great idea and that option is there if I get desperate but I don't want to put the burden of loaning a large amount of money on someone.
