I am in my 20s and i guess what most people want to do at my age is travel... I haven't done a lot of traveling since i'm not rich and my parents are quite strict. I've only gone on school trips, family outings and neighboring islands a few times. But i really want to go abroad. I guess this is a way of soul-searching? But can't someone go soul-searching in their own country? It'll be less expensive too.
Anyways, now i am just rambling. What about you? Do you wish to travel? Why?

Yes it is much cheaper to stay home but I think it is so fun to travel outside the country but we know it costs some for sure.
I hope you get to travel one day Lady.

I'm in my 30s and have never been out of the UK (in fact, I've never even been to Scotland). I'd love to travel elsewhere but I have been to a few places in England and Wales and, yes, I do believe that someone can go soul-searching in their own country. I think a lot of people fail to realise what adventures and experiences are available so close to home when they're used to a week or two of holiday abroad but nothing much else. I've known people who had spent lots of time in another country but hadn't visited some of their home city or county's famous landmarks.
I like to see new places and discover different things.

I wouldn't mind going to the US but for a few reasons that's unlikely to happen any time soon
I've been to many european countries and a few more distant places such as Cuba.
Travelling in your own country is a good thing but over here it is actually often way cheaper to holiday abroad.

I have traveled to Europe a number of times and extensively in the US. It's a matter of making it happen.

my son went to Hongkong last September, with a girl friend. i sent him off the airport, and also took him upon arrival. he said he wants to go back there. as for me, i would not want to travel far.

@lady1993 i believe a visa is no longer necessary to go to Hongkong.

@ridingbet yep, a lot of countries do not need visa anymore, or have a maximum of days before a visa is needed, which is just awesome. but first we need to save save save
