Be it in the news or here if there is anything written about cruelty meted out to animals by anyone I stay away specially if I am not able to stop that cruelty. It will spoil my day. I do not even want to see those images.
I sometimes wonder why anyone should post such news here.

I gave up my white collar job in the Philippines for a Blue collar job in Canada. I now kill sheep for a living. I kill them humanely but I know Vegans will always see it as animal cruelty.
What is your opinion about eating meat?

Killing for meat and that too humanely is a situation that is inevitable. I am talking of inflicting sadistic torture on animals I had birds but I never ate them.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I fully agree with you. Those are not their pets and so you cannot call them pet owners. In my own little way I have changed this with quite a few here.

@allknowing You know who is as worst, The pet owners who are not aware they are cruel to their pets. They act like good pet owners but they have no difference with those people who torture animals. I know someone who chains his dog all day long instead of making the dog live inside his house. he acts like a good petowner but he chains his dog 24/7.

I will see it sometimes here, but for me I see worse on Facebook. I have truly vegan friends who are also animal activists and a specific couple will post very gory photos and videos throughout the day. I can understand how they want to get the message out, but still it is quite graphic - too graphic sometimes.

As long as those who view can do nothing to help no point in posting those.

@allknowing Well, I guess their point is there is something we could do about it if we really fought for the cause . . . but the awareness tactic is pretty extreme.

@allknowing in fact last year someone from my country posted a video on facebook showing some guys torturing a horse. The government stepped in and caught the culprits. If those people know that they are going to be punished by abusing animals they may stop it.

@Nawsheen It should be seen by those that matter but not posted just to get views.

I once saw something so cruel that I had to tell someone about it to make people aware of what can go on.
I know its very hard also as I love Dogs but this one man was so cruel that I had to go away from it to be able to think as it was stunning what he did right in front of everyone and no one reacted to the dogĀ“s cry and I did blinded with tears.
I had to go upstairs and let the tears flow.
I could do nothing as everyone feared that person but I did not fear him rather I was afraid for the dog himself as the person himself is nothing but a big bully even though I should not judge others.
No one spoke of it after either but I always remembered it and you have to be aware to be able to challenge and make these situations change for the better.
He is so spiteful that if you were to try and protect the dog he would hit him even harder.
I meant to say that he would have as the tears are coming up as I write this.
I see a lot of animal cruelty here but they are just waking up to the fact that it needs to be changed.

Sad is it not that you were on the spot but could do nothing. On second thought could you not have alerted some authority? Just saying.

@Always smiling
I meant to write it in the past tense as it happened a long long time ago but its as if it were yesterday.
There has been one of those huge booms here again and its very scary so my nerves are a bit frazzled.

No because he hit the dog right out of the blue because he barked as he was going into their doorway and it was all over in a second.
Police here did nothing then at all nothing would have been done but now it is because others do care and they make it known and people are now going to Prison for such things.
Franco was a very cruel person there was no such thing as animal protection then.

I feel the same about my social media accounts. I like to lend my voice to campaigns against animal cruelty but then organisations like PETA are constantly posting horrific videos and pictures of animals being hurt so I can not keep looking as it upsets me too much.
